·         Plain flour 4 Ounces/ 113.40 g/ 1 cup

·         Powdered sugar 4 Ounces/ 113.40 g/ 1 cup 

·         4 Eggs

·         1 tsp Baking powder

·         Vanilla essence 1/4 tsp

 Recipe

 For making sponge cake you will need to perform the following five steps:

 Step 1 

First of all, we will take a bowl. Then we will crack eggs and then we will separate the egg's white and yellow parts.  We will put the white part of the eggs in one bowl and will put the yellow part of the egg in another bowl. Similarly, we will keep on separating the yellow and white parts of the egg and will put them in separate bowls.

Step 2

Now we will beat white parts. We will beat them until they become creamy. Then we will put them aside now we will beat the yellow part of the egg with powdered sugar we will keep on adding a little amount of powdered sugar and at the same time we will keep on beating the mixture until it gets beaten perfectly. After perfectly beating we will put this mixture in a white mixture bowl. Now we will beat these two mixtures in one bowl. We will beat them at low speed. Now it is done.

Step 3

In the next step, we will add vanilla essence to that final mixture and then we will mix it well. We will put the beater aside because now we don't need to use it. Then we will add 1 tsp baking powder into 1 cup/ 113.40g/ 4 Ounces plain flour. We will mix it well. Then we will put one spoon at a time in the mixture and will fold the mixture. Then we will do it in a similar way until we run out of the plain flour amount we took in the ingredients part. Then we will fold it and will mix it well. Now it has been folded. 

Step 4

Now take any steel bowl that is of a round shape to make a cake shape. This bowl should be of stainless steel. First of all, we will put butter paper into this bowl, and then we will grease the bowl. Now put the whole mixture into this stainless steel greased bowl. Soon we will make a very soft cake. Just like we see in bakeries. You will soon see a very soft, delicious, and tasty cake. Now it is done. Finally, we only need to bake a sponge cake in the pressure cooker.

Step 5

First, we will put a thin layer of salt in the pressure cooker and will put any utensil that will be round in shape above that thin layer of salt and in a downward position so that the utensil seems to be upside down. These two steps of putting a thin salt layer in the pressure cooker and another bowl upside down will be helping to make a hot environment like in the oven. Now the important point before it is that our pressure cooker must be preheated. We need to preheat the pressure cooker on high flame for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes put the mixture in a pressure cooker on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

            After 2 minutes

 Now we will bake the cake on low flame for 25 minutes or more. It depends on your pressure cooker type. Nowadays pressure cookers also have varieties too. According to our pressure cooker, it needs 25 minutes. After 25 minutes we will see whether our cake is baked or not. It has been baked so now we will take it out and will check it by putting a toothpick into it. We will perform a toothpick test to check whether our sponge cake is baked or not. If the toothpick is dry then it means our cake is baked from the inside otherwise you need to bake your cake for some more time to fully bake it. So now we will also perform this toothpick test on our cake. Let’s do it. By checking our cake we found it is baked. Now with the help of a knife, we will put it out on a serving plate. We can easily take it out because we have used butter paper.

If we use butter paper then it easily comes out of the utensil you are using to make your sponge cake. So it is best to use butter paper to make the perfect cake. Right now it is hot.
